I'm Tony Atherton, Director of ADA Leadership and I've worked for more than 20 years with senior leaders within global brands such as Rolls-Royce, Citigroup, Sky, Ladbrokes, Air China, Emirates Airlines, Ladbrokes, Coral, Qatar Airways and China Eastern.
Alongside these organisations I've developed leadership programmes for governments and ministries including the CAAC (Civil Aviation Authority of China), RANEPA (The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy), the Indonesian Ministry of Higher Education of Science and Technology (In partnership with Ashridge Business School) and with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office's Chevening scholarship programme in India.
WHAT STANDS US OUT
My passion is all about driving the best out of the relationships between managers and their people and helping them be the best they can be. It's the one thing that truly helps organisations and teams stand out and achieve their ambitions. Managing and leading is a skill and a talent we may not focus on as much as the subject matter and the task that got us to the role in the first place, and often we take this relationship for granted and don't invest like we do on task, products and services.
I've achieved great results but don't have a prescriptive solution before I've heard and understand the real problem, where do you (as a team or organisation) want to be and where are you now. Standing in the gap and helping teams, managers and leaders create a viable plan to address the gap. I do this with an open listening style, with passion, engagement and with a straight approach with both high support and high challenge.
At ADA Leadership we don't just specialise in global brands, I've coached individuals and teams in small and medium sized UK based institutions and charities providing support to help drive all manner of ambitions.
